Dress Regulations
Proper attire must be worn at all times by members and their guests in all areas of the clubhouse and golf course as outlined below:
 
Oak Room
Men are required to wear a collared shirt (untucked is now permitted)
Jeans are permitted (torn jeans are not permitted)
No shorts for evening dining allowed (lunch is permitted, but not Sunday Brunch)
Flip Flops are not permitted
Men’s hats and caps are not permitted
Tank tops & cut-off shorts are not permitted
 
Hickory/Men’s Grill
Casual dress is allowed
Fitness, Golf, or Tennis attire is allowed
Jeans are permitted (torn jeans are not permitted)
Men’s hats and caps are permitted
 
Swimsuits, improper dress (i.e. cut-offs, men’s tank tops, no shirt or shoes) are not allowed in the clubhouse.
 
Cell Phone Policy
Cell phones should be placed on vibrate or silent while dining in the club. If you elect to accept a call, do so in the hallway. Our staff has been asked to enforce this policy to help protect the peaceful environment that the Club provides.
 
Smoking Policy
Smoking or use of other tobacco products (including vapor e-cigarettes) is prohibited in all buildings of the Country Club. Smoking is only allowed in designated outdoor areas. Smoking is not permitted inside the fenced area of the pool. Please dispose of cigarette butts in the appropriate receptacles.
 
Golf
The objective of this policy is to ensure that the appearance/attire of golfers at McAllen Country Club is neat and in keeping with accepted golf attire at prominent golf clubs. Proper attire for play on the golf course at McAllen Country Club is defined as the following:
Pants
Pants or Regular slacks, appropriate jeans, or golf shorts
 Golf shorts from knee length to not more than three inches above the knee, with no strings, tabs, or anything hanging below the hem of the shorts will be allowed. Anything hanging must be removed before play is allowed.
Pants in length between the knee and the ankle are not allowed.
No cutoffs, jogging, gym, coaching, tennis, or camouflage pattern shorts or pants are allowed.
Women are required to wear appropriate length shorts, and/or skirts
Shirts
Shirts must be collared, standard mock, or turtleneck.
 No sleeveless or T-shirts are allowed.
Shirts should be tucked in at the waist.
Women are required to wear proper blouses.
Shoes
MCC is a soft spike only facility.
Golf caps
Golf caps should be worn bills forward.
 
Tennis
Only tennis attire may be worn on the court. Cutoffs, long pants, tank tops, and/or swimsuits are not allowed. Men must wear shirts with sleeves at all times. Track shoes, hard-soled shoes, sandals, flip flops, or bare feet are not allowed.
 
Persons using profanity, displays of anger or disturbing other member’s games may be asked to leave the tennis area.
 
Food or beverages (other than water, or hydrating drinks) are not allowed on the courts.
